Negative effects of low level laser light therapy (LLLT) for hair loss?

The internet says there arent any real side effects to LLLT, but I worry it may screw with my brain or something.

Aside from whether it even works for treating/preventing hair loss, does anyone know of any POTENTIAL long term effects of using it regularly, like brain cancer or something? Supposedly the lasers dont go beyond the first layers of skin, but I have my doubts.
