Just got asked if I was wearing makeup this shitty self tan has left a few spots on my cheeks, and as Im having tret sides I have a bit of cracked skin which is coming off and in conjunction with the self tan looks like fucking make up.

Hopping on melatonin 2 as we speak fuck this uneven shit.

Anyone know of any good threads that explain it in detail?

You aren't supposed to use self tanner on face, it's body only.

There are specific serums that are formulated for facial skin and have much less dihydroxyacetone in them than body self tanners.

The skin on your arms, chest, back is very very different than the skin you have on your face.

Using normal self tanner on your face will lead to a very weird looking result.

That being said, I love Melanotan 2 and have given up self tanners (except in the winter).
I have tried both the liquid and the nasal spray with great results during the summer.

I should have been more specific it was tanning drops, I think they are for face. I just have always called it self tan.

I don't like most self-tanners. I do use palmer's moisturiser with gradual tanning because it's really subtle and smells good. I only use it down to my cheek facial hair line (if you can't grow decent facial hair you have bigger problems than your tan).

Make sure you take a motion sickness medication an hour before you inject or you get the worst fucking nausea for like 5 hours.

Just use sunbeds
Don't do this, it's not worth the sun damage for a tan that lasts 3 weeks at the most

My face just looks bloated and fat after applying self tan on it

Is there anyway to tan without damaging skin? Or does all sun exposure eventually lead to skin decay?

Melanotan 2 but you get heart palpitations and cancer (would have if you tanned naturally anyway)
