In accordance with my completely unhinged mind and my very poor projection of life choices, I decided to go to Sephora in person today to buy concealer. Yes. Physically.
I would much rather shop online, but apparently I needed to know my skin tone first, so off I went, accompanied by my girlfriend (she doesn't know im chronically insane).
She’s helping me find the right shade, everything is going smoothly, when a saleswoman suddenly appears and announces that the concealer we wanted is out of stock. No problem : she finds another one and asks my girlfriend to test it.
A brief, uncomfortable silence.
Which I break with:
“It’s for me.”
Cue the stare.
Eyebrows raised.
Then she hits me with a very powerful, very unnecessary:
“Hmm… okay.”
Easily one of the most uncomfortable moments of my life.
