New Minoxidil formula has been released by the company "FolliGenz," promoted by one of the most credible hair loss YouTubers, KwRx.

This is a liposomal solution, and instead of regular Minoxidil, the active ingredient is Minoxidil sulfate. For context, Minoxidil sulfate is considered the "active" form of Minoxidil, which promotes hair regrowth. The downside is that less than 50% of regular Minoxidil users are unable to convert Minoxidil to Minoxidil sulfate, due to a lack of the enzyme sulfotransferase. The goal of this new formula is to bypass the issue by applying Minoxidil sulfate directly.

Minoxidil sulfate has a 40% higher molecular weight than Minoxidil (289.3 g/mol vs. 209.3 g/mol), which reduces its transcutaneous penetration (scalp absorption). Therefore, the solution should ideally be 10-15%, compared to regular Minoxidil’s 5%.

Minoxidil sulfate is unstable in aqueous solutions, which is why the product uses a liposomal solution. Additionally, Minoxidil tends to crystallize in solutions higher than 7.5% after some time, so the liposomal formulation helps maintain the stability and effectiveness of higher concentrations of Minoxidil sulfate.

"Indeed, a Swiss retrospective study of 44 patients with AGA (13 males with Hamilton-Norwood type AGA class III or above and 31 females with Ludwig type AGA I–III) unresponsive to a minimum of 6 months of 5% MX solution b.i.d. showed increase in hair growth in 97.7% using a 10% MXS solution once daily during a mean treatment period of 4.09 months. The treatment was well tolerated by patients"
("Mx" refers to regular Minoxidil, and "MXS" refers to Minoxidil sulfate.)

97.7% of patients responded to 10% Minoxidil sulfate after not responding to 5% regular Minoxidil

The evidence seems too limited to fully trust it yet, and FolliGenz hasn't released any evidence (testing data) on the efficacy, although KwRx claims he will release it soon. Now when the product is for sale, we'll see results from buyers soon. So in near time us norwoodcels may finally find a solution that actually regrows our hair.

I will wait for a couple years to see if someone dies from using it, after that i can consider

If I would use it, I would use the one that has years of research background (topical minox), i dunno
