After getting out of class and waiting till 6 to start more HW, I thought of something.

I feel as if it is extremely disingenuous for someone to become a therapist for people with mental illness if they have never had a mental illness themselves. This is like having a deep sea diver talk to a summer pool swimming coach, with the assumption that the swimming coach knows more about how to hande the stress of the deep sea diver’s life than the deep sea diver does himself.

Psychiatrists are a little different because they are proven high IQ and smart asf.

Maybe this is why I don’t relate to my therapist. He doesn’t understand at all and barely has empathy.

Been thinking about that no matter how smart you are, if you haven't went through what the other person went through, you won't 100% understand where they are coming from in general
