next retinoid after epiduo

I have used epiduo which contians a blend of adapalene and benzoyl peroxide for roughly 4 months however I need something stronger to fully clear my face and fix minor scarring. what should I use next?

I understand your point however I want to progress gradually to reduce any potential sides and purges so i will look into topical tret

I see, smart tho idk what acne you got, if it's more inflammatory kind which I assume it is given you used benzoyl peroxide then I think leaving BP when you've switched to like tret then taz might make sense. So you're targeting more of the pathogenesis

I never have had an issue with inflammatory acne as I would rarely get yellow puss filled cysts as I have good hygiene but the doctor put me on bp because epiduo was the weakest retiniod he could prescribe and there was no differin to only use adapelene
