You’re not low iq, and it’s not politics; it’s religion.
I don’t even know much imo, I live in the USA so most Republicans/MAGA especially as religious, but most follow dispensational theology where they split the Bible up into distinct periods.
The main thing is that they believe Israel and the Church are separate, so they believe God still has a covenant with the Jewish people specifically and they think a lot of prophecies have been fulfilled, are being fulfilled, and will be fulfilled by the modern state of Israel, so they have tremendous support and loyalty towards Israel even though Jews rate Evangelicals the lowest out of any religious group
