I do a similar thing, just using shampoo 1-2 times a week and on other days I just use conditioner if washing my hair. Has really helped with dry damaged hair

i shampoo once a month. it works to provide good texture, doesn’t smell or look too greasy either. but i do live in a pretty dry climate.

i also really am a big supporter of not using shampoo often. i personally believe that using shampoo too often nukes T.

DS Laboratories has one good shampoo it's pricey but works well. unfortunately none imports it here... They used to but not any longer.

Right now I use Alpecin (the red one) kinda okay but not really satisfied with it... Also if I use non sulfates or parabens shampoo my scalp stays uncleaned and the dandruff increases.
