3 square meals a day isn't a modern phenomenon, and it was followed more rigorously in the past. people today are fat because of the nutritional content and satiety of the food is low, so people eat more of it. and also because people are significantly lower iq, have shit genes from the mass dysgenic events post ww2, they can't control themselves and have no willpower. low iq is correlated with obesity. fat people are literally too stupid to lose weigh

I'm not saying you can't be lean eating three meals a day, but it was easier when people had to do hard physical labor and didn't have access yet to superprocessed foods, as we do today
 
I feel nothing when I eat. Eating is a chore. Only reason I don't order fast food is because I am too lazy to interact with the delivery process.

I eat one large meal a day, usually protein rich with fish, steak or chicken. Then I fast for 40 to 48 hours from wednesday to friday. Really helps to keep me in check and still keep muscle and get gains
 
I cut out seed oils and most processed foods . Stayed lean ever since
But yeah snacking is the enemy most definitely
