Rap is like literally every other genre where there are hits and misses. The growing problem with rap is that it’s becoming too generic to the point where all the songs sound the same

most people who hate rap think the genre is “Oooga booga gonna rape a bih and then go shoot someone ” and they’re right, but there are still some artists that can pull it off and make it sound good
