I reminisced with a very old friend about our childhood (11-13 yrs old) earlier today
LAN parties
Sleepovers
Team sports
Doorbell ditching
Fireworks
BB guns
Making fun of girls weight over AOL instant messanger
Paintballing
JUST TONS OF GETTING INTO TROUBLE
No job
No money worries
No worries in the world really
No realization of our looks/10 just playful youth, boys being boys
It hit me so hard as I parted with him, back to the old workcel grind, this is it, the rest of my life just working and thats it? Yes that's it. Adulthood was the biggest let down ever. There is no happy ending to the story, there is no going back to youthful joy.
Just realization on how shitty the world is, we get to have fun being tax slaves for the majority of our lives, aging, getting older, closer to painful death.
LOL @ "life" LOL @ being brought into existence against our will, I dunno guys, nothing hit me harder than having nostalgia overload and remembering how wonderful my life was before high school. I have nothing to look forward to in life anymore, I already lived through my prime years and now it's over.
