That's basically how it is, around your age people finally lose all of the stuff that they could once do carefree. As a result of needing such a purpose in life they usually try and settle down and have kids. That alone brings many new tasks you have to complete, as well as needing more space, and things to manage.

The next point of crisis for most people is mid-life, where usually the kids have grown up, and they don't know why they are working anymore, so they spend a ton of money or make payments on stupid shit like a new mansion, flashy car, etc.
