Normies are so stupid regarding nostalgia

They make many stupid and senseless comments regarding their nostalgia of the decades they idealize.

Two examples that comes to my mind:

1 - Whenever I go to YouTube to watch videos of hit songs of the 00's, for example, and I scroll the comments, I see normies saying: "those were they days, families were united, we all got along..."

My answer: Broken families always existed, and during the boomer times they were even worse, since many parents back then were authoritarian and didn't express any love toward their kids.

2 - "I miss the 80's, people were all enjoying the concert instead of having their eyes glued to the smartphone screen."

My answer: Smartphones didn't exist back then, so it's anachronical to say people back then weren't addicted to them, but if they existed back then, people would be glued to their phones just like today.

These people can't act rational, they are pure emotion, that's why they make these dumb comments that can be easily refuted.

yeah, when in reality they'd be working 12 hours a day, have an ugly whale for a wife, an asshole boss who'd treat them like slaves/jokes and 0 opportunities for improving their life or at least cope with banal stuff like movies, the internet, porn etc.

i guess this delusion persists because only the good stuff from the past stays in our memory/recorded. obviously you won't have a detailed documentation about the avg incel from 1965 spending his days sitting under a tree or just throwing rocks around like a retard
