Yeah bokmål and nynorsk is written differently, and we learn both in school. It can be hard to know what to write since they are written a bit differently, and we speak mostly dialects, all the regions speak very differently from each other, an hour away will speak very different, but written language is bokmål or nynorsk

Definitely the best Scandinavian language to learn since both swedes and danes can understand old Norwegian.

norwegians speak their dialects, bokmål and nynorsk are just written variants, though urban east norwegian is the closest to bokmål. Bokmål is just norwegianized danish, nynorsk was created by Ivar Aasen to be a truly norwegian writing language by combining elements of all dialects and trying to keep it somewhat archaic. Later however nynorsk incorporated more bokmål (danish) forms because of the samnorsk policy by the government
