I used to equate a large high carb meal with getting pretty tired & having a bit of a gut but it turns out that was just gluten. Now that I mainly get my carbs from potatoes carrots fruit onions etc there's basically no bloat & I have more energy than ever. Also cuts pizza, pasta, burgers & other junk that you might have occasionally indulged in out of your options entirely.
