A lot of the people in semiconductor design are from Taiwan and cannot be found in the US. These hires are the true definition of H1B workers but nighas still want to keep coping with their useless narratives. This is why I wasnt interested in continuing that argument in the other thread about offshoring work. I think it is not just f500. It depends heavily on the company. Google, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon's overheads are too large for them to care about it. While Companies like IBM, Dell etc have tighter cost controls and large offshore teans so they won't cover the fees. I've seen even within the same firm, divisions like R&D getting exceptions, while general software teams might not.
