To see how fiber would affect my inflamed colon, I mixed milk and oatmeal and sprinkled some berries on top. It increased my bowel movements from 3-4 to 15, and now I'm scared. Over?

you gotta ease fiber into ur diet slowly

in fact, if ur colon is inflamed i wouldnt bother with fiber

first get into remission

I was in complete remission with Rinvoq. A flare-up started after taking oats, and the symptoms improved quickly after I stopped consuming them.

Fiber is usually not the best thing to have with an inflamed/irritated colon. I know someone with ulcerative colitis and a small amount of fiber kills his guts.

I took high doses of antioxidant nonsense and saw no improvement, which shows that oxidative stress nonsense is just coping.

Yes, I drink milk all the time, I even consume village milk, and it hasn't caused me any problems.

But if it irritated my colon, shouldn't I see blood? I've never seen blood.

the ONLY thing that makes sense to me is diet + genetics

the only thing that makes sense to me is the mucus barrier weakening due to no food for good gut bacteria + lack of good gut bacteria from shit diet

then once u get ur first flareup, ur in a perpetual state of trying to keep ur intestinal barrier intact but because the damage is already done its much more difficult hence why immunosuppressants can only hold off for so long

Instead of trying to figure out the cause, we should find a way to stop the immune response.

people still fall for the fiber myth? thought we were past that. fiber is gay, eat meat

That's not entirely accurate. There are studies showing that vegetable consumption reduces the risk of IBD, while meat consumption increases it. For me, eating meat is tolerable in all forms, but high-fiber foods really bother me.

It really depends on your gut microbiome, reduce the fiber intake, thats what worked for me.

fiber is gay. eat meat. i could not care less what some bullshit studies say. anyone with an ounce of knowledge on human nutrition sciences knows that the entire nutr-sci space is incredibly flawed, corrupt, gay, retarded, bought out, and did i mention gay. do you want to eat leafs and seeds or do you want to eat meat and organs

ur ancestors ate 150g of fiber from leaves and roughage everyday

Like lactose, gluten, fibers, everything who can irritate the colon should be reduced until your gut start to produce enough microbiome bacterias to degrade it properly. So you increase the quantities overtime.

You can try to soak your oats in milk/water overnight and see if it improves the digestion. Oats are also rich in Gluten and can be the cause of your bowel movements, try a gluten-free alternative like buckwheat flakes.

If it still doesn't work, you should just get your fibers intake from fermented vegetables like sauerkraut and fruits for the prebiotics/probiotics and micronutrients benefits

meat is pro inflammatory, fiber heals
The Mongols consumed no fiber, only meat; they had the highest testosterone levels in the world, suffered from no inflammation whatsoever, and brought the whole world to its knees.

are you retarded? the whole point is that we arent able to ferment fiber into scfas very efficiently. short colon, short cecum, vestigial appendix, high stomach acidity. we clearly arent desgined optimally to eat fiber.

if you couldnt kill an animal, sure, fiber is better than starving, but if you have access to meat it is undoubtably much healthier

short colon LOL

meanwhile our colons are longer than carnivores - stopped reading here

shorter than most fiber-reliant animals, lets not be stupid here man i know youre smarter than that

almost like we're omnivores or something
really thought you did something here lmao. practically every single animal is an omnivore. its a spectrum really. its a survival advantage to be able to digest as many sources of food as possible. just because you CAN digest a small amount of fiber with low efficiency, doesnt mean you SHOULD. keep eating leafs man ill stick to meat. im not saying eating leafs/fiber here and there will do much if any harm to you, but my point is that its gay and fiber is not essential and people shouldnt worry about hitting fiber goals they shoud worry about eating animal fat/protein

not eating enough foods that produce SCFAs = u will get ibd

eating high protein bodybuilding diets is exactly what led to my ibd flareup

now with high fiber im perfect :cool:

u also lost the argument as soon as u appealed to ur emotions calling it gay as if i could give a fuck, now bend over little greycuck i'll show u gay

not eating enough foods that produce SCFAs = u will get ibd
b-hydroxybutyrate

eating high protein bodybuilding diets is exactly what led to my ibd flareup
eating high fiber rabbit diets is exactly what led to my muscle loss, depression, bloating, diarrhea, dehydration, etc.

like holy strawman are you retarded?

like..... what?

LOL u sound like the typical retarded greycuck
support gut barrier, and fuels cells. it isnt as "good" as butyrate for colon cells, but it is as good as it needs to be. humans are not designed optimally to be eating much fiber at all, but are kinda capable of doing so. the whole reason we are humans and not chimpanzees is because we started eating mostly meat. we've evolved past eating leafs, and are not desgined to eat leafs. thats why fiber is mostly indigestible and causes gut problems.

also what is it with you and the grey stuff and cuck stuff?

, and fuels cells
how is that relevant

no it isnt, i've done keto diet

sounds like a shit gut microbiome problem, i have problems when i dont eat high fiber now because my good gut microbes are starving without it

this is like elementary knowledge... muh omg fiber gives me gas! i dont have any gas on fiber

I'll never eat fiber again; I made the biggest mistake of my life.
