Even on a purely military target it would be stupid as the enemy would then consider going a step further, and bombing a much more potent target like a huge capital city to send a message, and the chaos would be bad.

Also war morale would disintegrate. The elites want to send as many men to the meat grinder as possible. While drones and artillery can kill you , if your hiding out in your cave like the afghan people your fine. But a nuclear strike means even if you survive , the fall out would eventually kill you and not to mention wind can spread it much further , so more people get sick. Birth defects were their for decades after the nukes in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Now imagine the whole world getting that shit on a constant basis. Would be a catastorphe.

The elites want chaos, but not to the point their comfortable hedonistic lifestyles of fucking young jb and doing coke and spending fuck all on anything they want ends forever. A few years they might ride in their bunker, but risking mass nuclear fall out even in a global war just doesn't seem something the elites would actively go for.

Far more effective is just conscripting tons of men in war, and the fucked up supply chains that occur In global wars would result in economic fall outs massive civlil unrest and likely a civil war, as well as naturally food shortages and famines as food can't be imported properly. The only problem is putin now exposes himself to similar nuclear attacks by other countries , and NATO going full send and intervening would be a complete disaster for russia since the oligarchs took away like 80-90% of the russian military budget the past decades ,meaning their technology is dog shit compared to what america has. They would get completely crushed against far superior american and other countries technology. Sure American politicians swindled billions of dollars, but considering America spent trillions in the past decades on military development its a drop in the bucket.

A : nuke the ukraine with small nukes to wreck them and then when america nukes russia do plan b

B: do nothing don't retaliate,

this might seem weak and stupid but actually it would work to do nothing because it would psychologically disarm the us nuclear capability not physically of course but psychologically, because if the us or Britain nuked russia and russia did nothing back they would definitely not nuke them again because there advisor's and military would refuse the order since they would be in a quit while ahead mentality not risk doing it again because guaranteed retaliation

If I was putins general this is what I would advise, of course if amerca kept nuking the then nah shit russia should retaliate

But if they nuke russia and russia nukes them back it ends in a nuclear exchange with no winner if russia does nothing the USA would be psychologically disarmed leaving russia to continue to pump ukraine with nukes and us not being able to do much about it

Yes russia coped a nuke or two but it won't change the outcome of the war with ukraine

When russia beats ukraine it would claim victory over the us even though the us suffered 0 casualties and russia a million

The us failed to achieve its adjectives to save ukraine and was ultimately the one that backed down giving russia place to claim victory
