Thread sequel to:

Go with which one LOOKS stronger on satellite, and not the reported peak intensity.

Jova has a robust presence, like a true force of nature
Based on the microwave imagery provided, determining the strength of tropical cyclones Jova and Otis involves analyzing several features:

  1. Symmetry of the system: More symmetrical systems are typically stronger.
  2. Presence and definition of an eye: A well-defined, clear, and symmetrical eye generally indicates a stronger system.
  3. Organization of the inner core convection: Tighter and more organized convection around the eye is a sign of a more intense storm.
  4. Temperature of the cloud tops: Colder cloud tops often indicate stronger storms due to more vigorous convection.
For the tropical cyclones Jova and Otis:

  • Jova: The images show a very symmetrical structure with a well-defined eye. The convection is tightly wrapped around the eye, and the cloud tops appear to be very cold, especially in the infrared image, which shows deep reds indicating very cold temperatures.
  • Otis: This system also displays a well-defined eye and symmetrical structure. The convection seems well organized, but there is slightly less symmetry compared to Jova, especially in the non-microwave imagery.
From these observations, Jova appears to be the stronger of the two based on the symmetry, eye definition, and organization of convection, but to make a precise determination, one would typically compare the actual measurements of the maximum sustained winds and central pressure at the time these images were captured. These characteristics are better quantified using the Dvorak Technique and in-situ measurements from reconnaissance aircraft and buoys, if available.

cuz otis bigger and stronger.. he thugmaxxed btw
You have to go by satellite appearance JFL

The pink color around Otis makes her look much more fierce and even beautiful if i might say so. it feels like Otis transcended and achieved a new level of strength by showing off her naturally rare pink color
