On the power of pursuasion?

Have any of you read Cialdini? He's highly regarded in persuasian psychology circles and he comes highly recommended by Dominic Cummings. I've been doing some thinking on the creation of identities that contain some tangible characteristic differences from your base state (i.e. different hair colour or eye colour contacts etc.) to separate your base state (the one you are clearly unhappy with if you're on here) and transform into a different entity in which you can relax your inhibitions to an extent

Sounds like insecurity, overcoming your inhibitions is a much more fruitful endeavour anyways
