One of my biggest regrets is not studying in an American university. Don’t get me wrong I had fun in uni too, made good memories, great friends etc. But the college life in the US just feels so much more varied. On my way to work I see students heading to class with skateboards, coffee in hand, talking about projects, clubs, weekend trips, or something they’re passionate about. Many of them couples holding hands with their cute gfs. Back home, college was more like a full-time job assignments, labs, exams, internal, external, viva, quiz, suprise tests etc. My college did not have attendance policy so that somewhat helped it but the workload was still insane. We technically had free time but you need army like discpline to get things done and also have free time for extra curriculars which to be fair some people includinf myself learned to manage but still it was too hectic. In the US it seems like they get to live a more balanced life, where academics, hobbies, and personal growth all matter. That’s the part I feel I missed. I was just was an endless grind in college. All I did was hardwork there was barely enough time for relationships and fun stuff in STEM. The ones that did engage in that stuff did it it at the expense of their grades almost always.

Many of them couples holding hands with their cute gas. Back home, college was more like a full-time job assignments, labs, exams, repeat. There was hardly room to explore or try new things. I’m considering doing uni in the US,
I’m gonna look into it more after reading this

They are getting scammed and wasting their youth. The clever kids went to crypto/social media or dropped out at 13-14 and started working their way up since an early age.

You had a better education at a better price than the vast majority of Americans.

If you want what the minority experiences then you need that type of money and talent

You’d be in debt for 30 years at international student tuition rates

It depends on your major, an engineering or STEM major at an American university will suffer with heavy workload :feelswhy:

Only Chad meme degrees like buisness or finance don’t have to study much and can afford to party all week :feelsokman:

College is a brothel network for wealthy people. You are supposed to apply and join the right brothels in order to partner with the best brothels from the opposite gender. Many times a brothel will already handpick the majority of next year's members before school even begins. Meanwhile the normal students are clueless and playing poker in dorms during freshman week.

Once you are accepted, you get a nice brothel house where you park into showing off the flashy car that your dad bought you while the normal students walk with heavy bags to class. Inside the brothel, you have to bully others immediately and stake your place as a top member in order to build your reputation and get access to the best people from your opposite gender's brothel. A natural network is formed with your rich brothel friends, and you will be invited to planned exclusive parties over the rest of college with your partnered opposite gender brothels, where you will have countless chances to hook up or start a relationship.

Another benefit is that once you're accepted into an exclusive brothel, all members have access to old study banks from former members and cheaters that allow you to pass every class with nearly a quarter of the effort while the normal students are in a constant state of anxiety and study until the next morning. This saves you both time and cortisol during the peak of your youth.

It depends on the college as well tbh, party colleges tend to be the most fun and the frats right next to the beach always throw the best parties

they’re not as good as you think they tend to be. you’re not getting that ‘college experience’ if you don’t do well the first week or month. women who dorm exclusively avoid international students especially curries unless you’re in something like stony brook which is curry and gook dominated, but then again there’s this notation they still have against ones not from around here. a degree in america does hold merit, way more value compared to third world countries. not sure if most colleges even give housing to grad students. not living on campus = no ‘college experience,’

My uni back home in India is quite prestigious. Many employers even here know about it. It is kinda infamous because of it's entrance exam.

then there’s no need to even bother with higher education unless you got a clear plan laid out hahahaha you’re not getting the ‘college experience’ in grad school. cope with drugs, go to a bar, way better than mourning over missing out on social milestones
