I don't know, old first person shooters had more creative and elaborate levels that encouraged you to explore them and try different things, in COD it feels like you are stuck in a pipe, you walk and walk forward, sometimes you turn left or right, enemies appear in front of you, you shoot them and keep walking, there's only one way and one path on which you have to go, invisible barriers are placed so you can't go and explore the rest of the level, it feels very limiting.
