Tretinoin works by speeding up your body’s skin cell turnover cycle, the process through which your body replaces old skin cells with new ones.
However, any growth equals aging and we only have a limited amount of new cell production cycles so by speeding such process up, we inevitably decrease longevity. So wouldn't that actually age you long-term? Seems contradictory to it supposedly preventing aging.
I dunno, maybe it doesn't matter for modern humans since we live comically little anyway (so you'd die from some sickness way before you'll se the consequences).
