Is that they are extremely greedy and opportunistic. They’ll pivot, rebrand, or chase whatever trend is hot the second it looks profitable, even if it means ditching the thing they were supposedly passionate about yesterday.
One example. This all birds an American shoe wear brand that is quite popular among white women and is all about eco friendly materials. You might have seen ads on this brand on YouTube a few years back
But all of a sudden they had enough of this shit and said fuck the shoes, fuck the environment, fuck the virtue signalling. We are doing AI now. Like a complete 360. They sold their shoes division. Re branded as new birds and bought a truck load of GPUs and made data centers to lease cloud infra to AI companies
siliconangle.com
And the investors and loving it. Their stock went up by 500% on the same day they announced the pivot.
I can name hundreds of pivots like this. My own company did a 360 on its values just a year back from their ideal and traditional buisness practices.
User data, hype cycles, AI this week, crypto last week. if there’s a way to squeeze more money or valuation out of it, they’re on it. Also always trying to destroy and rip The opposition apart without mercy like a pack of wolves.
The making the world a better place all that is complete BS and only for the optics. What tbeh care about is strictly shareholder value and market dominance but ultimately this is what drives innovation so you can see it as a good thing or a bad thing.
