Topical vs oral, i believe the biggest difference is in speed by which minoxidil is released to blood stream, if you take pills, it's released to the blood much slower, so it doesn't give the heart "GO!"

With topical, you get effect fast, your vessels can widen too much and your blood pressure drops. Then this instant drop can confuse the brain and fire uncontrollably causing seizure.

You might have low blood pressure or use drugs that lower blood pressure already, so after taking minox, your brain brighten up as a christmas tree...

Damn, that's crazy, I got small results (for lashes and brows) and I started 3 weeks ago. I would do 1 drop every day (wouldn't do 2 cause I wanted to see how my body would react, luckily I was fine). Then I stopped taking it in the 2nd week to clear it from my system and went back on it the 3rd week. I also make sure I have a FULL stomach before I ingest it because I don't want my body to absorb it fast. But yeah it's working fine for me.

I've never had a seizure before in my life I'm 20 years old. I took oral Minoxidil with all the right dosages. The first day was fine, the second day i took it in the morning was okay then around the afternoon i had a seizure in my aunties car she was terrifed. she called the ambulance and I had another seizure in the ambulance.

And another at the hospital...

I told them I took oral Minoxidil from something i saw online and they told me thats why this happened and that it's a heart meditcation.


It was honestly the most terrifying experience i've ever had it feels so unreal like your in a horrible dream and its not real like i cant even describe what these seizures we're like i honestly thought i was going to die. I remember waking up from each one seeing yellows, cyans and red and a lot of white. The first one I had i woke up and everywhere around me was shapeshifting into different locations and i didn't know where i was was.

I had three blood tests done and a cannula put inside my vein incase they needed to medicate me, wasnt needed though. And a scan aswell.

Anyone can search up the list of side effects associated with oral minoxidil and they'll see seizures isn't one of them unless you overdosed.
