Ortho said no to head gear

Situation is as described, I finally found a provider for MARPE that I'm comfortable with (He has experience and I've seen his clients), when I suggested that headgear might be beneficial for me he denied that I need one. It's retarded that i'm arguing with a highly credited ortho, but now I have this in the back of my mind that either my body dysmorphia has gotten to the point where my maxilla is fine but I see it as recessed or, my ortho just doesn't want to go through that process with me. Advice would be greatly appreciated...
