Orthodontics and questions about MARPE (pallate expander)

So about a month ago my mother called up the dentist (im 16) and told her about me wanting to expand my pallate.

Thus dentist looked at the recent photos and thought i didnt need one even though my pallate is very narrow.

So now i need a way to get my dentist to get me a pallate expander (and thats where i hope you guys come in handy with some helpful ideas)

Also i havent had the time to really make the research about this so if anyone thinks i should have any precautions or anything i would appreciate you telling me

Most orthodontists wont give marpe until youre 18 and the lower jaw stops growing. Might have to get lefort by then
