my jaws extremely receding, I used to have braces but I lowk just never wore my retainer after so circa 3 years later here we are

I’m really needing forward growth so I’m just looking for advice in what way I should go

Also on another note I’m due to get my extremely impacted wisdom teeth removed but let me know if there’s anything I should do or if shouldn’t get em removed idk Ty

Yess the appointments scheduled for a follow up aswell as the wisdoms consultation so I guess time will tell

I fear lots of oral pain in the future I could’ve prevented awhile ago smh
brutal how much habits back in the day can affect you in the future

my jaw is slightly recessed and i think its bc i had a bad thumb sucking habit when i was a kid

mark one of my replies or somebody else as solution to solve this thread

Yeah sigh, but for the the time being is there anything I can do to “attempt” to fix the recession/ aim for better growth in the lower jaw? I’m still very new and looking over my options

I’m 17 and a bimax is very expensive, my parents will cover ortho like last time and there open to the thought of paying for surgery,
Just really not sure what route to go.

Also not wearing my retainer was the worst thing I could’ve ever done my gap cap back instantly aswell as many other things I’m sure I will mentally mature later on and find out rofl

eh since ur 17 theres nothing u can do, if u were still in ur childhood nose breathing and correct tongue posture is important

is there any way ur teeth can come back together if u wear ur retainer again or are you just fucked?

Well shitt,

And unfortunately the retainer I had was like a plastic mold and and I can’t even fit my teeth back in it anymore, I think the last time I tried a year ago I managed to click it in but the pain was unmanageable and I took it out in my sleep
