i have an appointment with the orthodontist next week, my main issues with my face atm is my overbite and my mandible recession it isn't major but its not optimal. what should i ask my orthodontist about to help fix this so that he gives me a good fix without causing any recession on other parts of my face, and what should i definitely not agree to? (im going private and dont have a budget so recommend the most optimal fixes.)

How old are you ?
Don't agree with teeth exctraction obviously

Just turned 16 and yeah I never would agree
If your maxilla is also recessed with overbite, maybe bimax + braces.
From 16 to 18 my ortho make my mandibule grow and advance forward to match my maxilla only with braces, but perhaps i should have done bimax finally.
It depends on your growth and teeths but show to your ortho that you're open to bimax.

I always thought that upper braces would lead to maxilla recession for some reason but I must be wrong and also my mum would never let me get a bimax and I don’t think my recession is enough to justify it either maybe when I’m older but for now prolly just braces

Whatever you do get Damon braces they may be slightly expensive than normal ones and never extract teeth and then get a herbst appliance

What about blocks could they be more effective for jaw readjustment or nah
