Orthodontist wants to extract 2 premolars, should i do it?

my orthodontist suggests extracting 2 upper premolars for my overbite and bringing some teeth back, also i do have severe crowding and a deep overbite, but my jaw looks pretty good right now without braces. how will extracting and getting braces affect my jaw and face. I turn 17 in a month.

wdym "because of less lip support"? and yeah hopefully but honestly extractions are way to fearmongered, not saying they are good (obv) but people saying they can recess you is just not true

the over crouded teeth were pushing on your lips, and created a lip support so they appeared fuller, IDK which teeth you removed but even if you just expand you'll notice that the arch from a V goes to a U if you had the teeth you'd still have the volume from the inside to still keep the same lip support, because the U shape wouldn't be as dramatic

No, I’m paying the price now and have to get trimax to fix the recession and asymmetry caused by pulling premolars alongside braces
