Overbite and Braces elastics crefull picture the Picture is digusting

I got an overbite and an slight Overjett.right now I have Braces but my Orthodontics Seems
to Focus more on my teath Position and Not on fixing my overbite.i got some elastics that have to be on my Braces I fear that the elastics could prevent my foward groth becaus they pull everything backt . can this actually Happen ?
And what should I Tell my orthodontist so it does Not Happen .also could somone Tell me how Bad my overbite is

ur ortho would if the overbite is sufficient, the thing is ur overbite doesnt seem too bad, is that ur acc bite or are u moving ur jaws

elastics push your mandible(lower Jaw) forward.but at the same time it pushes your maxilla(upperjaw) back .tell em to change it
