Suture Loosening
Suture loosening, especially in the mid-palatal suture, is key for widening the palate, increasing facial width-to-height ratio (FWHR), and achieving an overall more defined face. Looser sutures allow for easier adaptation to a wider palate over time.
To loosen the sutures, you can use the following method:
Metal Rod or Thumb Technique: Use a metal rod or the round point of your thumb to diagonally rotate between the hard points of your sutures. Move back and forth to create force and gradually loosen them over time. Do this on the zygos and the palate internally
This technique can help in achieving the desired changes in facial structure by promoting suture flexibility and adaptation.
NeuroCranial Restructuring (NCR) also helps
