Palate expander benefits?

My palate is not narrow, I have adequate tongue space : intermolar is 38mm. Age 16 3/4

However I’ve been put in a situation where a palate expander is an available for me if I want to use one, is there any reason for me to take this offer or is there no point, I’ve heard it could help my zygo prominence no matter what but I’m not sure.

Alr I thought so, just checking cuz I could get one pretty easily but from what I can tell without actually having a narrow palate there wouldn’t be much benefit (pretty sure 38mm is atleast avg)

I've seen the pictures Jordan Wood did on TikTok, it's pretty fascinating but it just sounds like gigacope because it ends with "pulling". Does it make your midface shorter, or does it just increase the width of your maxilla? I guess increasing the width of the maxilla would make the midface appear shorter anyways
