palate expander

i've been recommended to get a palate expander before getting braces to minimize maxilla recession (the braces will be for my overbite) , i know palate expanders can make you ascend like crazy by making your zygos pop but im thinking my face and palate are already pretty wide, will getting a palate expander make my face too wide to where its not ideal or will the zygos be worth it. and can someone help with measuring my FHWR. pics for reference (3rd one im cheekbiting a bit)

if you wanna make your zygos pop you could get a palate expander but you also look great even like that or if you want hollow cheeks you can lose face fat or remove buccal fat

Thats if you do with mse there is fme which can prevent the asymmetry

Why would braces recess you? Are you getting teeth extracted? If so, don't do that. I don't get how expansion would prevent recession either.
