They are real. They just have no effect on body composition because heat has no rest mass. The chemical energy in food is immeasurable and calories are units of heat.

You stupid fucking retard. Calories are a measure of energy defined in terms of heat. That doesn't make them heat. Like a gram used to be defined as ""the absolute weight of a volume of pure water equal to the cube of the hundredth part of a metre [1 cm3], and at the temperature of melting ice." That doesn't make a gram water, does it? DOES IT? You can have a gram of other things besides water. Ask if you need some examples. I know this requires you to push your little 80IQ cerebrum to its absolute limit to grasp but please try and understand this.
