Yes and I can confirm that to an extent. Me and my sister were extremly shy as kids, but eventuelly I tried everything to get out of this and slowly increased confidence. This started with raising my hand more in class to participate, which was hard but now feels normal. Slowly my shyness started to improve and I could now talk to guys without any problems, girls were still a problem. I got into a new class eventuelly where I met a girl who I randomly knew from my last class and she also recognized me. She pursuited conversations with me, while I did stutter at the start fast forward a long time I can now socialize with people without a problem. I do feel shy a lot of times, especially when it's in group settings or strangers. You can improve it, but you have a maximum potentional, some people are born good at socialising. It's genetics, but you have a potentional.Cope. Social ability is mostly genetic too. There isn’t much NTmaxxing you can do as an autist.
