Got like 1c hair, straight-ish to wavy. Wanna get a perm cuz women love curly heads, and it'll js suit me better but i don't really want people to know i permed it i wanna make it seem like puberty curls, if it looks ass prolly gonna buzz it all off. Any advice on what products to use to maintain it, and on what kinda perm i should get?

Find a picture of the curls you want to have, show it to the hairdresser and talk about the rods that would be best for you, watch videos on perm before and after and find out what rods they used. Curly shampoo and conditoner, curl cream and hair dryer with diffuser

i got one today for the second time. go to a good salon and make sure the person doing it has experience my stylist has a ig page with his portfolio. for wavy/ perms east asian salons are usually the best. i showed him a pic on pinterest and asked him what rods hes gonna use and it all went fine

did your friends ask you if you re-permed it? Like was it very noticeable

i told them before i was gonna get it permed + it wasnt a big change for me i just wanted some texture so i only went with w very loose wavy perm. if i wanted to hide it i could just say i used products it looked very natural
