permanent retainer on bottom front lower 6 teeth?

will a permanent retainer on my bottom lower 6 front teeth stop my palate from widening, or at the very least, cause it to grow not as wide as it would've without it?

should i remove it? i already stopped wearing my upper retainer (it was a temporary one i put on at night) and noticed a bit of facial widening i think...

I heard that if its front 4 teeth its fine but that if its the front 6 teeth then it can be bad for ur palate…
