So instead of pushing on palate or behind teeth or whatever, wrap your thumbs around the palate and behind it, pushing into the soft region (tuberosity) and horizontally on the palate. See pictures attached.

Red is thumb and black arrow is the force vector.
If you reach behind the hard palate and push horizontally you'll feel the back of the palate.
This will negate any effects on the teeth and any lateral action. So not ideal if you need better cheekbones, but perfect for a better maxilla since it isolates the horizontal action.

I don't think this is gonna make you look better,

In theory, even if we assume that this would work (which, is a pretty strong assumption) - it would only provide forward growth to the lower maxilla (Le Fort 1 Area).

Most ppl do not have a recessed lower maxilla, actually even most East Asians don't have a recessed lower maxilla lol - it's the upper maxilla or Lefort 2 - Lefort 1 area that plays a greater role in beauty - and with this method, that'd still remain recessed.

A recessed lower maxilla combined with a recessed upper maxilla is usually mostly present in syndromic patients 😔.

And at most, it'll make you end up looking like your teeth are protuding but the nose is far back.
