I won’t give a fuck bro I’ve been chopped for 18 years. 6 more months won’t hurtIt'll be an improvement - but it is a trip not recognizing yourself. Try to not dwell on the lookism stuff during your swelling period, reassess at 6 months.
Also what do you think the chances are that I will have to get braces before my surgery? I don’t have a overbite or underbite just a recessed jawThen you'll be feeling gooood at around 2 months.
Source: done it
Depends on the ortho if he wants to decomp for bigger advancements. But yea you will look better. But bimsx will mostly change your side. I am 6 weeks post op right now with similar advancements you will do probably. The front doesnt change almostAlso what do you think the chances are that I will have to get braces before my surgery? Biretrusive class 1? Nice, so was I, essentially. Biretrusive and class 1.5ish.Also what do you think the chances are that I will have to get braces before my surgery? I don’t have a overbite or underbite just a recessed jaw
I sent chatgpt photos of my bite and this is what I got back. Do you think this sounds accurate based on my bite?Biretrusive class 1? Nice, so was I, essentially. Biretrusive and class 1.5ish.
I got surgery first, segmental since my incisors were tilted back (ty kid ortho) out of the country. I will have to do a year of post-op Invisalign though. Widening+Alignment.
With you - if your teeth are perfect (not tilted, class 1, good palatal width) - they will probably put braces on before for like a month or two to get things exactly where they want. Then they rotate and advance everything and braces for a bit more after.
Ya the money is gonna be a problem for me too. I only have about $25k saved so I’ll be going to debt but I should be good if I finance it out long enoughGreat candidate, I am in similar shoes except I’m a couple years older and it will take a couple more years until I have the money for it
God bless anti-aging.
It echoed what I posted, good to know. So yes, you'll have short course like it says, then go surgery, then finishing ortho after. Either they will deal with the lower crowding before, or after, whichever they choose will be the longer time period of braces. Since you don't have to move molars really it's way easier.I sent chatgpt photos of my bite and this is what I got back. Do you think this sounds accurate based on my bite?
