this is all we have true, but its not high quality evidence
If thats your standard for good evidence i guess alcohol, cocaine and cigarettes are all fine then and we dont have super good reasons to belive otherwise
cohorts are biased lmao, thats why i dont support the harvard carnivore study even tho it aligns with my views, because its a cohort, and if u strongly believe that cohorts are still good evidence, disprove the harvard carnivore study
It didnt measure the most important metrics for long term health and was self reported with no control group which is a recipe for placebos to show

Even if i agreed with the study it still wouldnt say much as we are talking anout long term health, not short term benefits

Im glad the raw milk fad has stopped but why is there still such a prevalence of primal/carnivore jesters? I cant even begin to describe how scientifically illiterate you have to be to suggest thats its optimal for looks or health, all you get is raped lipids and a higher risk of cancer.

STOP THE COPE
i like meat and i eat meat, i don't give a shit about primal or whatever:feelskek:

mechanistically alcohol, cocaine and cigarettes are terrible+ multiple meta analysis showed about 12000% relative risk which is crazy high, so yes they are bad, unlike red meat which has mixed evidence and relative risk isnt high and there is no mechanism showing how red meat could be bad.

btw, short term cohorts are much better since less co founding variables, unlike long term where ur lifestyle and aging also factors, and in harvard carnivore study, 90% health outcomes improved, including no progression of arthersclerosis, no heart disease risk, no calcification of blood vessels, and good health indicators

Theres mechanisms for red meats too, like mentioned high fat and heme iron

Even though you kight have positive mechanims for red meat the same applies to coke, cigs and atleast some forms of alcohol

I thought meta analysises of cohorts didnt prove anything? Especially when you have even more variables in participants

No, even with horrible things it can often be incribly difficult to find health detriments as many of these things happen very long term

Muh association studies brah

Because there will never be a real causal relationship between anyhing, theres no causation with shooting yourself in the head amd death, but you shouldnt shoot youself, becausd guesd what? Youll die. No study will ever show causation, it csnnot in theory evem if it existed, but i doubt you even know what it means

Theres only correlation between death and meth, heroin, car crashes, plane crashes, cancer and literally every cause of death

3 diseases are not the only causes of death

Higher all cause mortality

Not inherently, but your body already mskes lots of it so its rare to not have enough of it and such a diet like the carnivore diet gives you very high risk of lipids that are classified as disturbed
Too high cholesterol showed a 32% higher all cause mortality

Just a less reliable and easy wsy to do it

Also fiber, very important like showed

Diets high in saturated fat were associated with higher mortality from all-causes, CVD, and cancer, whereas diets high in polyunsaturated fat were associated with lower mortality from all-causes, CVD, and cancer. Diets high in trans-fat were associated with higher mortality from all-causes and CVD. Diets high in monounsaturated fat were associated with lower all-cause mortality.

Monounsaturated mog
Only soluble fibre is good, ones from fruit
