After actually ascending and becoming good-looking, you finally find a girl with a cute laugh and a genuine smile that loves you. You get in a relationship with her, and you feel really comfortable around her, you can show her the sides of you that no one else has seen, and you are sure she loves you for who you are and not your looks. In a peaceful moment together, she falls asleep in your arms with her head resting on your chest and the realization hits: you found such a lovely and gorgeous girl that feels safe enough in your arms to rest her head on you and sleep, in those arms you've never liked, on that chest you never liked, on that person that you never thought would be good enough to find true love: yourself. You lean your own head against hers and with a smile on your face you start to get more and more tired, but just before falling asleep you wince and suddenly the girl that you thought was the love of your life has disappeared, and you realize you have been holding your pillow in your arms, so deep in thoughts of a better life, of a life in which you look good enough to experience true love that your thoughts almost tricked you into thinking you would ever be loved. But maybe if you ascended more, people would like you and someone would love you. Maybe then you would have the life you've always dreamed of, the life full of the love you're yearning for.
