I took 8 weeks of sick paid leave when I had surgery in march. (They didn't care and payed me.)

My current company for sure would give me paid or unpaid time off. However, I am graduating this semester and I want to start at a larger company. That's my dilemma

I think you would probably need to wait at least 6 weeks or something or at least however long your probation period is. It would probably look really bad tho if after you joined shortly after your probation you took a ton of sick pay.

yeah but I am not asking for PTO or sickdays. I just want a leave of absence. I think once I get offers from companies I'll talk with them about scheduled surgery if they don't accept it fuck'em.

Thanks bro I had alot more than bimax so mine was messed up for a long time. I would say 3 months at least.

Really 6 months is when you can walk around close to how you were before. But there will still be some residual swelling.
