So I noticed some time ago I have an eye misalignment where one eye is set higher than the other.(vertical optic dystopia I think it’s called).

Anyway I started looking into it and one of the things I saw was Sphenoid miss alignment as a cause.

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the legitimacy of its relationship to eye position and how to do it.

Another thing I saw that might hold some validity was uneven light exposure(Spending long times on Screens at night for example).

I think this could be a cause because sometimes I lay on my side at night and look at my phone for long lengths of time.

P.S I Know that this isn’t genetic because in photos of my younger self my eyes are perfectly aligned

You have more hooding on 1 eye not an eye asymmetry

I noticed that too. But there is still a difference in height between the eyes themselves.

I think the main prob is the hooding bc the height assymentry isn't noticed in camera or in motion

Your right, no one has actually noticed the eye distance issue and only the eye lid difference

I suffer the same issue as you. In my baby pic there was no eye asymmetry/misalignment vertically. In my case it’s caused by zygomatic recession on the affected side, meanwhile the superior side is projected the way it’s intended to be originally.

I’m pretty sure it may be a sphenoid bone misalignment but I’d have to get an X-ray to be sure

It’s so brutal. Legit suifuel when I saw my X ray photo. The forward grown side has a positively tilted rectangular shaped orbit. Meanwhile the down grown affected side is negatively tilted, as if it’s melting with recessed cheekbones. Fuck if I never had this issue I wouldn’t even hate myself.

Looks are the root to my self hatred and insecurity. All my other failos are fixable and are incomparable to this, something that is generally impossible to fix. If I knew of my bad habits at an early age I could’ve 100% prevented it. Here I am suffering because of a few mm of tilt and bone recession. Life was supposed to be fair to me because of the base and ratios I was born with but I ruined it during the developmental stage. Simple as that.

I mean it’s fixable with certain hardmaxxs

I’ve never seen anyone with this issue fixed to date. Even if they got the surgery done, the results are still the same as it was before. Notice how almost all cosmetic cranial facial surgeons grifts their dumb customer patients into getting the surgery by instilling false hope for it all to be botched in the end. It’s all too good to be true, even if they show a desirable representation of their craftsmanship, years of experience it’d all mean nothing under the operation.

If nothings changed for the better.

Well you know your craniofacial situation better than anyone so I wish you the best of luck
It’s sad knowing you were so close to having it all, for it all to be taken away so easily. That feeling of despair never goes away the moment it began. The more you chase hope, the harder you fall into a deeper rabbit hole of this sorts, simply no way out.

I don’t want to sound like a coper but don’t just LDAR, even if not everything is fixable you can definitely make a big improvement with hardmaxxs

Hardmaxxing is only hopefuel and beneficial when it’s fixable. But for severe deformities it can do little to nothing if it means to alter one’s bone structure and eye orbits. Implants usually only improve jaw areas, not many cases where you see crazy ascensions on the eye area depending on the base.
