Possible MARPE. What should i tell my dentist / orthodontist?

I suspect a narrow pallete. What should i say to my dentist next checkup ? Symptom wise , should I say that I have trouble sleeing and mouth breathe? My pallete :

most people with narrow palates have some form of recession + way ur teeth are tipped

avoid palate expanders at all cost as an adult

Wait why avoid pallete expansion please reply . My uncle whos an orthodontist in france said i may be a candidate ( not proper checkup just by a quick look)

1.Im in the UK . We got a thing called NHS - so free healthcare . Seems good , however surgery wise , they only take in the most severe of cases to be approved . And if i show my side profile , youll probably laugh st how reccesed i am , but in the doctors eyes , its not severe enough
2. MARPE for u18 or concern by dentist for future heslth is free under NHS so ortho cant shill money out of me

Yeah I don't know what that other guy's deal is. He seems to be on a crusade against palate expanders. Can they cause asymmetry? Yes. But your palate is seriously fucked up bro. Measure your ESR ratio. If it's below 0.41-0.42 I'd say steer clear of expansion, as it widens the zygomas.

Ultimately it looks like you need about 1cm minimum of expansion. Look into FME, MARPE the pros and cons of each. And how they could change your face.

One thing's for sure, you absolutely need to do something because that palate is not normal whatsoever. Jaw surgery would fix it, but it doesnt affect anything above the Lefort line. And since your palate is super narrow, I have to assume your zygos are very narrow too. Are they?

Hard to tell with a camera's lens distortion but yes, your ESR is definitely not too low. Try to measure your bizygomatic width with calipers. And get a rough estimate of your IPD using the paper hole method.

Get a consultation with an ortho ASAP. And talk to your parents about this shit. If your ortho tries to suggest teeth extractions, or some bullshit like "just invisalign", calmly push back against it and suggest expansion instead. See what they have to say about your case.

If i tell my dentist ( who will refer me to the ortho) that i struggle to breathe with my nose , struggle to sleep and wake up alot , they will treat it as a maxillary issue rather than teeth?

They will likely refer you to a ortho. That's your starting point. What I did when orthos told me I didnt need expansion was just change orthos. I dont know how it is in your country but where I am, you can just call the orthodontist and schedule a consulation.

Live in united kingdom , so with free healthcare , comes shit waiting time and shit results . They gonna give me some bullshit .hopefully not. Also for double jaw surgery I will just wait until im 18 and go turkey
