This only works if you have pseudo conchal hypertrophy and not actual hypertrophy of the conchal wall.
Protruding ears have two main causes -
1. Conchal hypertrophy , or deep concha
2. Underdeveloped anti helical fold
(It can also be a combination of these)
Now if u have pseudo conchal hypertrophy , the conchal wall , (the thing behind ur ears that’s too wide that connects ur ears to ur mastoid bone or skull.) appears too wide but u can perform the press test and if the concha inverts , it means u have pseudo conchal hypertrophy def.
U can greatly reduce potrusion by strengthening the posterior auricular muscles to pull ur ear back , doing lymphatic drainage , mastoid fluid drainage etc and myofascial releases esp on the tight SCM muscle that’ll make potrusion appear worse. And also fixing your posture completely and ur fascia basically.
