i have 5mm overjet, 4mm overbite with mild crowding and teeth flaring out. my ortho said to extract two premolars on top and two premolars on bottom. im 15 should i extract that much?

tell him youre concerned about your breathing passage if you extract and retract, and that you already have trouble breathing through your nose + struggle to maintain good tongue posture. do not let him remove your premolars

Dk Im not an ortho, all ik is you should def get a second opinion from someone who focuses on all facial functions not just teeth. Before you go recessing yourself

ive got the same issue as you, my lips stick out making me look like a monkey. I went to an ortho a couple hours ago and he said he could fix it by removing two upper premolars and creating a bit of space between the lower teeth but im worried about tooth extractions. im going to do some research on this and let you know if i find anything of interest
