1) He does lack strong bones, but despite lacking them his bones are still well placed relative to each other, e.g. he doesn't have large zygos but they are well placed and decently sized relative to the rest of his skull, his brow bone doesn't protrude much but its still well placed and protrudes enough relative to his eyes etc etc
