I've written a very short thread on this previously for squintmaxxing but I didn't really go into any sort of detail but this is all part of the larger topic of Proprioception anyways.
This has completely changed my area and removed any UED I had and shrunk my nose very significantly.
Proprioception is your body's unconscious "sixth sense" that tracks body position, movement, and force. Often called kinesthesia, it relies on tiny sensors in your muscles, tendons, and joints to help you move smoothly without looking. It basically dictates the natural position of all musculature on the body (including face.)
The best part about it is that you can alter it with enough time, before I even knew what this was I had already started squintmaxxing every time I saw a mirror I would adjust my facial expression to get my eye area as striking as possible I would adjust and practice this every day and over a couple months it became my "resting"/ most comfortable position, I can still fully relax my area if I want but i naturally go back to that squinted look as its a lot more comfortable. The most drastic change was my hooding changing, its not even that I'm frowning anymore my hooding has genuinely js changed from this.
After further research this is applicable to every part of the face, I've been contracting the nasalis muscle for the past month and have definitely had a shift in the resting position, Its been noticeable but slower to become natural than any eye area change (I speculate that its because its a bigger muscle it takes longer for Proprioception to change.)
The biggest factor to be aware of is wrinkles, I mentioned this previously but if done improperly and depending on how prone you are to wrinkles you could get crows feet around your area and various other wrinkles depending on the facial muscle. Personally I haven't seen any presumably because of my skincare but again I'm unsure.
The reason this is great is because there are over 43 facial muscles to shift which lets you fix a great sum of issues especially around the eyes. My best advice for starting would finding the muscles of what you want to shift and seeing how prone they are to shifting Proprioception.
After all the research I could do Changing Proprioception isn't speculative and is proven to actually work, I hope this will help some ppl.
