An intelligent man must research plenty, and he must understand the consequences. A real man or woman knows they can adjust their actions based on their decision's results.
What a real man doesn't do is waste years of his life researching, dreaming, and hoping that all the stars align for him and his implants.
After you read this piece, you can continue doing "research" and rebuttal this thread, but more than anything, you should take a deep look at yourself in the mirror and ask if you are only dreaming about your looks or are indeed willing to do something to better them.
Purgatory excuse #1
I want to find the best doctor for my implants!
Any maxillofacial surgeon can do an excellent job with the correct implants. Facial custom-implant surgery is a relatively simple procedure for any reputable and professional maxillofacial surgeon.
The typical problem or issues that patients have aren't health-related but incompetent aesthetic results.
You don't see many doctors offering custom implants because they don't have direct working relationships with implant manufacturers.
If you spent time designing the perfect look for yourself, you would help your doctor get the exact look you want. Doctors are doctors, NOT aesthetic experts or implant designers!!
Purgatory excuse #2
I want the best material that doesn't cause "resorption," and I want to know how long they last.
There are many materials your doctor could use for your implants. However, for most aesthetic purposes, UHMWPE and PEEK are the ONLY two materials you'd likely want. All materials have pros and cons, but when you compare them all at length, these two are the better options.
Implants alone DO NOT cause "resorption" of any bones.
PEEK, (UHMWPE), Medpore, titanium, Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), or even Silicon implants do not cause resorption of the bone. Bone resorption occurs when friction and movement from your muscles press on the implant and rub against your bones.
These implants last 1000 years.
The rubbing produces a sanding-off effect on the bone. Solid materials like PEEK, and UHMWPE, when fixed well (screwed), do not move, and that doesn't damage your bones.
The term bone resorption has become popular due to problematic silicone implants. Silicon is flexible and unstable, and when your muscles press against it, it causes the bone to deteriorate - it is not the chemical composition of the implant itself but the force and friction on the bones themselves.
However, there is ALWAYS that rare chance that ANY foreign object (implant) can cause damage to your bones and tissue for other reasons.
PEEK and Non-Porous UHMWPE have been used in the human body for decades, with positive or uneventful results

I want to see many, many, many, many good results from other people.
Are you going to show your results yourself? Are you going to tell the guys or the ladies that you've had implants?
Most of the results you see online do not abide by proper consent. The patient should not make decisions to allow doctors to show their results at the surgeon's office.
Patients should make those decisions in another setting where they can think clearly.
Purgatory excuse #4
I want to make sure I like my results!
Usually, if you don't like your results, that's it. You will have to pay to re-do your process all over again.
However, you must work with a company that gives you warranties. If for some reason, you don't like how your doctor made you look, you can have implants for free again. Make sure you work with companies and doctors that give you free implant do-overs.

I don't want to go to a "third-world country."
You can have surgery in your home country, and you do not have to travel abroad.
Any maxillofacial surgeon can do an excellent job for you if they have the perfect implants in your city.
What is a third-world country anyways?
If you CAN NOT afford surgery in your home country, maybe you are a "third-world" citizen yourself.
You will not have surgery in some back street or dark alley. First, you would have to meet your surgeon in any country, and most surgeons abide by international norms and practices.
The poorest countries have rich and top-world regions and access to the best medical assistance.
Purgatory excuse #6
I don't want to pay a fortune for my implants!
Nowadays, there is no need to pay 15k,20k, 30k, or 50k for custom implants. If you look at pricing alone when making aesthetic decisions, you are lost.
Some specific across-the-board international costs can't be avoided, and there is nothing you can do to minimize them.
Some doctors have a more intuitive and efficient way of working with designers and implant suppliers, and these doctors can naturally offer lower costs for their services.
In the medical field, high costs do not equate to good results.
When it comes to aesthetics, art, experience, technical know-how, and sensibility play a more significant role in how you will look.
What is purgatory?
Purgatory is a place for dreamers who are addicted to researching their dreams about their looks and are obsessed with their stories of self-hate.
I invite you to be a man or a woman who takes action and lives their best life (this life).
Soon you're going to be old, and implants and looks will be all unnecessary for you anyways. Meanwhile, the guy or girl you like is probably busy having fun with another person who isn't wasting time in purgatory "researching" what is available to them now.
I will walk you step by step and connect you with the best doctors in the world. I will meet you in person and be by your side through your surgery.
