Purgatory for implants

An intelligent man must research plenty, and he must understand the consequences. A real man or woman knows they can adjust their actions based on their decision's results.

What a real man doesn't do is waste years of his life researching, dreaming, and hoping that all the stars align for him and his implants.

After you read this piece, you can continue doing "research" and rebuttal this thread, but more than anything, you should take a deep look at yourself in the mirror and ask if you are only dreaming about your looks or are indeed willing to do something to better them.

Purgatory excuse #1
I want to find the best doctor for my implants!

Any maxillofacial surgeon can do an excellent job with the correct implants. Facial custom-implant surgery is a relatively simple procedure for any reputable and professional maxillofacial surgeon.

The typical problem or issues that patients have aren't health-related but incompetent aesthetic results.

You don't see many doctors offering custom implants because they don't have direct working relationships with implant manufacturers.

If you spent time designing the perfect look for yourself, you would help your doctor get the exact look you want. Doctors are doctors, NOT aesthetic experts or implant designers!!

Purgatory excuse #2
I want the best material that doesn't cause "resorption," and I want to know how long they last.

There are many materials your doctor could use for your implants. However, for most aesthetic purposes, UHMWPE and PEEK are the ONLY two materials you'd likely want. All materials have pros and cons, but when you compare them all at length, these two are the better options.

Implants alone DO NOT cause "resorption" of any bones.

PEEK, (UHMWPE), Medpore, titanium, Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), or even Silicon implants do not cause resorption of the bone. Bone resorption occurs when friction and movement from your muscles press on the implant and rub against your bones.

These implants last 1000 years.

The rubbing produces a sanding-off effect on the bone. Solid materials like PEEK, and UHMWPE, when fixed well (screwed), do not move, and that doesn't damage your bones.

The term bone resorption has become popular due to problematic silicone implants. Silicon is flexible and unstable, and when your muscles press against it, it causes the bone to deteriorate - it is not the chemical composition of the implant itself but the force and friction on the bones themselves.

However, there is ALWAYS that rare chance that ANY foreign object (implant) can cause damage to your bones and tissue for other reasons.

PEEK and Non-Porous UHMWPE have been used in the human body for decades, with positive or uneventful results

Purgatory excuse #3
I want to see many, many, many, many good results from other people.

Are you going to show your results yourself? Are you going to tell the guys or the ladies that you've had implants?

Most of the results you see online do not abide by proper consent. The patient should not make decisions to allow doctors to show their results at the surgeon's office.

Patients should make those decisions in another setting where they can think clearly.

Purgatory excuse #4
I want to make sure I like my results!

Usually, if you don't like your results, that's it. You will have to pay to re-do your process all over again.

However, you must work with a company that gives you warranties. If for some reason, you don't like how your doctor made you look, you can have implants for free again. Make sure you work with companies and doctors that give you free implant do-overs.

Purgatory excuse #5
I don't want to go to a "third-world country."

You can have surgery in your home country, and you do not have to travel abroad.

Any maxillofacial surgeon can do an excellent job for you if they have the perfect implants in your city.

What is a third-world country anyways?

If you CAN NOT afford surgery in your home country, maybe you are a "third-world" citizen yourself.

You will not have surgery in some back street or dark alley. First, you would have to meet your surgeon in any country, and most surgeons abide by international norms and practices.

The poorest countries have rich and top-world regions and access to the best medical assistance.

Purgatory excuse #6
I don't want to pay a fortune for my implants!

Nowadays, there is no need to pay 15k,20k, 30k, or 50k for custom implants. If you look at pricing alone when making aesthetic decisions, you are lost.

Some specific across-the-board international costs can't be avoided, and there is nothing you can do to minimize them.

Some doctors have a more intuitive and efficient way of working with designers and implant suppliers, and these doctors can naturally offer lower costs for their services.

In the medical field, high costs do not equate to good results.

When it comes to aesthetics, art, experience, technical know-how, and sensibility play a more significant role in how you will look.

What is purgatory?
Purgatory is a place for dreamers who are addicted to researching their dreams about their looks and are obsessed with their stories of self-hate.

I invite you to be a man or a woman who takes action and lives their best life (this life).

Soon you're going to be old, and implants and looks will be all unnecessary for you anyways. Meanwhile, the guy or girl you like is probably busy having fun with another person who isn't wasting time in purgatory "researching" what is available to them now.

I will walk you step by step and connect you with the best doctors in the world. I will meet you in person and be by your side through your surgery.

where is the sliding genio dangers thread??
So, I wouldn't call them dangers but inconveniences.

You see, there are things you must consider before you decide to go for a sliding genioplasty.

It is permanent, limited, "more complicated," and more painful in the sense that you must do it intraorally.

Also, I wouldn't say I like the intraoral method too much because there's a small risk of getting the "sleepy lip syndrome."

It is "limited" because if you have a round chin, you will continue to have a rounded chin but more forward projection.

A chin implant is fast, "safer," and you can adjust it if you don't like the look you get.

I guess it comes down to deciding what works best for you.

Sliding genioplasty makes a lot of sense a lot of the time, though.

I'll tell you this; my surgeon and I decided to do an implant after we talked and analyzed the possibilities for months off and on.

What do you think?

Actually an osteoclastic remodeling which is different than anything comparable to sanding off.

It doesn’t work like that, and you will soon find that out especially since your design is one of the worst I have seen. Do you have FDA/ANVISA/EU clearance to manufacture implants? Do you own the clinic that is putting them in? Obviously you don’t. Who is going to pay for the new material costs and the surgery and anesthesia costs? I guess you are volunteering to foot the bill. Enjoy that :feelsokman:

@RealSurgerymax

Are you going to show any proof or add anything positive to anything you said that might be helpful to the guys here, or are you only going to act like the character in your profile picture?

Your biggest mistake is to judge any design based on bones and plastic alone- you have to see the person to know what is good or bad.

Love ya, even though you are probably uglier than your profile picture. I would still buy you a beer ✌️🍺

By the way, stop comparing your materials at Home Depot.

Okay. The doctors I have seen make it look easy, and they seem to enjoy it too. They say things like, "that was easy". I am not a doctor, but I listen to what they say and repeat their words. They say a lot of things when we go to the bar.

They get the catalogs all the time from big manufacturers :ROFLMAO:
I guess the catalogs aren't working because guys here only know about Eppley, Ramieri, the other Italian guy, and the two swiss or german guys. Oh, the Australian one too. All fantastic surgeons, by the way. 👌

And you think YOU know better? The narcissism truly astounds me. The single implant on your website is a bloating design + your posts show you are very new to this.
Maybe I should create a website and offer my services. However, I only do word of mouth and work with people I like. Maybe I'll help you too if you watch your attitude from now on.

Tomayto, Tomahto! Let's just say it craps on your bones. Thank you for educating us on the correct terminology. You are sincerely valuable to this forum.

Oh, my lord! Did you say, O.K? I love you!

What would you recommend patients do, sir?

So, I am funny, right? Yeyy!!. I knew it!

Lol I see what you’re doing here :feelsshh:
Do you think I am going to do anything without insurance? I don't even buy my beer without paying for insurance first.

Maybe I should start selling insurance!!! Who wants to buy insurance from me!! You incels, foids, blackpillers, pinkpillers, or whatever you call yourselves here. Who says, me!??

What is ANVISA, and what clearances are you talking about? I have a passport, and I can travel all over the world. I am not a doctor.

Again, oh my god!! Yess!! I feel like crying.

Oh, oh, I lost you here. Please tell me I didn't lose you!

Which you have none
Ouch! That hurts, bud! Although, my guys and gals would disagree. Hey, I don't agree with you either 😡. Err, you are a bad, bad boy!

Thank you for asking. Let me explain:

Say you live in the USA, Canada, Italy, France, England, South America, Eastern Europe, or Antarctica and you want to look like a God, well, you call me and say something like, my man, can you help me look awesome?

More than likely, I will say NO. But if I see that you are healthy, serious, able to travel, and are a cool and respectful person with whom I wouldn't mind hanging out with for a day or two, I'll say something like, so where are you from, and what are you trying to accomplish.

Oh, and extremely important, I will ask about their budget so I can even think about making some phone calls to my hospitals and friends - the doctors.

Again, thank you for asking.

You seem to be very knowledgeable. Unlike me, you seem to have real academic and medical knowledge and could help guys around here if you weren't so disrespectful and unlikeable (girls don't like pedantic academic know-it-alls).

Doctors are usually cool guys, you don't have that type of personality, though. You seem to be angry, and you sound as if girls hate you for merely being yourself.

Be nice for a change. It will do you good. You might even find a nice lady one day.

I noticed you have been on this website for quite some time.

Are you sure you aren't living in Purgatory yourself?

Do you need help with that? I'll help you get laid or something, but you have to pay for the beers this time. Deal?

All in fun and games, brother! ✌️
